Can 529 Savings Plans Be Used for K-12 Private School Tuition?

Since the passage of the federal Tax Cut and Jobs Act (TCJA), we have received lots of questions about the use of 529 dollars for K-12 tuition in private schools in Virginia.  Check out this great article from EducationNext, which explains the current 'lay of the land' very well.

Since not all states are interpreting and/or applying the TCJA the same way , The Heritage Foundation has put together an awesome resource, "529s in the States", explaining how 529s can be used in states across the country for K-12 tuition.
